How Sustainable Are These Gloves?
These gloves are biodegradable and made from recycled water bottles from the beaches of Sri Lanka in an environmentally-friendly way. One pair of gloves uses one plastic bottle and the efficient production process saves 5.15 litres of water, 0.387 kWh energy and 227 grams CO2 emission per pair.
How Heat Resistant Are the TG1900 Gloves?
The TG1900 gloves provide heat resistance up to 100°C, making them ideal for dealing with moderate levels of heat handling.
What Can The TG1900 LXT Gloves Protect My Hands Against?
Not only are these gloves sustainably produced to protect the environment, they can protect your hands against heat, abrasion, tears and water. To ensure a high level of performance, they have been tested to EN standards EN 388 and EN 407, and achieved the following scores.
EN 388
Resistance | Resistance Level |
Abrasion Resistance | Level 4 |
Cut Resistance | Level 1 |
Tear Resistance | Level 2 |
Puncture Resistance | Level 1 |
ISO Cut Resistance | Level A |
EN 407
Resistance | Resistance Level |
Burning | N/A |
Contact Heat | Level 1 |
Convective Heat | N/A |
Radiant Heat | N/A |
Molten Metal (Splashes) | N/A |
Molten Metal (Large Quantities) | N/A |
What Do These Scores Mean?
The higher the EN 388 rating, the more resistance your gloves offer. A level four abrasion resistance means the TG1900 Gloves offer the best abrasion resistance available, perfect for protecting against knocks and scrapes and ensuring the longevity of your gloves. A level A cut resistance rating is the lowest on the ISO cut resistance scale. If you require more cut resistance, check out our TraffiGlove Green Gloves category.
The second table deals with heat, flames and burning. Although the gloves weren't tested for the majority of the hazards (hence the N/A), they were tested for contact heat resistance, managing to achieve a level 1 score. A level 1 score means the gloves are suitable for handling items that have a temperature of up to 100°C for up to 30 seconds.
How Comfortable are the TraffiGlove TG1900 Gloves?
These sustainable gloves are lined with super soft cotton that feels like second skin, and they're also Oeko-tex approved to indicate they don't contain any harmful materials that could cause skin irritation.
How Flexible are the TG1900 Cut Level A Gloves?
The TG1900 gloves are extremely flexible, as the biodegradable nitrile microfoam coating is designed to stretch with the natural movement of your hands without tearing. This is ideal for extended use at work, as you won't start to feel hand fatigue after a long day.
Will The TG1900 Gloves Protect My Wrist?
Designed with a snug but comfortable knitted wrist, these gloves ensure protection from the fingertips to the wrist. The closed wrists means contaminants such as dirt and water won't enter the gloves, allowing you to perform your tasks safely.
