Protection Ratings and Standards
EN 388
EN 388 is a European regulation governing the sale of gloves used for safety and protection. It determines the gloves' performance when used for protection against mechanical machinery by measuring the fabric's abrasion, cut, tear and puncture resistance.
The EN 388 cut resistance test uses a single sharp implement to repeatedly pressure a glove in order to determine the amount of force required to cause visible and functional damage.
Standard | Resistance Rating |
Abrasion Resistance | Level 4 |
Cut Resistance | Level 5 |
Tear Resistance | Level 4 |
Puncture Resistance | Level 3 |
ISO Cut Resistance | N/A |
Applications of the Arctic Gator 4031
HexArmor Thinsulate Thermal Gloves have a wide range of professional and personal application thanks to their cold-weather protection and impressive EN 388 ratings. Please view the list below to see a few examples:
Level 5 Cut-Resistant Material
Working with highly volatile and sharp material can seriously damage your hands. Level 5 cut resistance protects the hand from machine misfire, cutting, blades and sheet metal edges.
Maximum SuperFabric Protection
Serious about heavy-duty protection, SuperFabric was developed in 1996 as a solution for preventing needle and knife incisions. It is the layer that prevents a serrated edge, needle or blade end from breaking through your glove and causing serious injury to your hand
What Is Thinsulate Lining?
Thinsulate is a collection of difference sized woven synthetic fibres packed together to provide resistance to varying levels of cold. They allow larger than standard gaps to exist between their fabric fibres.
How Does Thinsulate Work?
Thinsulate not only traps a greater degree of heat, but it allows moisture and liquid to escape, preventing the build up of sweat and odour. Thinsulate is also incredibly thin, meaning it retains and traps a high level of warmth without intruding on your ability to perform dexterous and precise tasks.
TP-X Palm Stitching
TP-X is an innovative stitching system that ensures longevity. In a normal pair of safety gloves, single stitched hems and seams break over time as you use them. TP-X ensures that seams are double stitched using premium thread.
High Dexterity and Precision Handling
Dexterity does not need to be compromised for safety. The Arctic Gator 4031 Gloves enable flexible movement, offering maximum usability when coupled with the quality wet- and dry-grip functionality.
Impact Deflection
The back of the hands feature IR-X Impact Exoskeleton with a high flex design. This helps to deflect any sudden and unexpected impact, reducing the shock and potential damages caused by unwanted collision.
High Visibility in Low Light Conditions
The gloves feature a high-visibility colour scheme. The bright green hi-vis material allows the gloves to be more easily seen, making them more practical for use in darker environments.
