Why Choose Ejendals?

If you work with your hands, chances are you've seen Ejendals before. They're an industry leader in the design and manufacture of premium quality safety gloves for a range of different environments and applications. They're particularly adept at producing brilliant thermal gloves due to their Swedish origins.

Industry Leading Thinsulate Liner

Thinsulate is one of the most popular synthetic insulation materials on the market. Made by 3M for use in gloves and garments, Thinsulate is unrivalled when it comes to insulation without causing issues with perspiration and breathability.

Thinsulate Lining

Waterproof Outer Shell

Working in the rain, sleet and snow isn't fun. It's even worse when your gloves don't provide the necessary protection against the elements.

Ejendals Tegera 297 Waterproof Work Gloves use a goatskin leather foundation that's inherently water-resistant and a reinforced coating that lines the fingers and thumb to maximise resistance to water when handling equipment that's damp and sodden.

Tegera 297 Waterproof Work Gloves

The Ideal Work Gloves for Winter

A lot of thermal gloves prevent the cold bleeding through by filling the glove with a tonne of padding. Tegera 297 Waterproof Gloves are different in that they utilise the lightweight properties of Thinsulate to guard against the cold, which keeps the glove sleek and slender. This allows you to handle equipment, tools and cargo without your hands feeling cumbersome and heavy.

What's So Special About Goatskin Leather?

Goatskin leather is a staple fabric in the glove making industry. Naturally water-resistant, goatskin leather is flexible and supple to touch, making it a great choice for gloves used in environments where manual handling is a massive part of the job.

Goatskin Leather Fabric

Neoprene and Spandex Foundation

Neoprene and Spandex are highly flexible materials that feature in Ejendals Tegera 297 Winter Gloves to ensure flexibility at the back of the hand. This maximises grip strength, as the whole of the hand is allows to squeeze tightly on the object at hand, preventing rigidity limiting your work.

Reinforced Fingers and Thumb

Tegera 297 Winter Gloves use reinforced fabric at the fingers and thumb to bolster grip strength and resistance to rain, sleet and snow. These double lined areas ward off scuffs, scratches and scrapes, maximising the shelf life of your gloves if you work in a fast-paced warehouse or factory.

What is EN 511?

What is EN 511?

You might have noticed that this product adheres to EN standard EN 511. EN standards ensure that the product you are buying meets the safety standards of the European Committee for Standardization (CEN), the highest standards organisation recognised by and working on behalf of the European Union. To pass any EN standard, a PPE product must undergo some of the most rigorous safety tests around.

There are many EN standards that our gloves adhere to. However, the EN standard that we’re concerned about here is EN 511. EN 511 stands for all things cold, and means that your gloves have been tested for their convective cold resistance, contact cold resistance and water permeability properties.

How Do I Read the EN 511 Score?

Simply speaking, the higher the score achieved the better the product will be at resisting the hazard tested. For the first two tests (convective cold resistance and contact cold resistance), the product will achieve between a Level 0 and a Level 4. The higher the score the better the resistance, with a Level 0 score meaning that it failed and an N/A score meaning that the product wasn’t tested for this hazard.

For water permeability the product will achieve either a Level 0 or a Level 1. Level 1 means that the product is waterproof, and Level 0 means that it isn't.

Where Can I Find Out More?

This is just a brief overview of EN standard EN 511 so you know where you are standing. For further information, you can see the Introductory EN 511 Blog in our Knowledge Centre.

Although this is my first time shopping with Safety Gloves, this is not my first time using Ejendals Tegera Gloves. I'm in fact a returning user of the product.
During the winter months these are are a must when working out on the ramp at one of the UK's major Airports. Servicing aircraft can be harsh in itself when time and the elements are against you, having these gloves helps immensely.
Add to this the fast efficient service I've received from Safety Gloves, plus also their large of products I'm sure you will find what your looking for, I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

Nice and warm and certainly waterproof I'm a low loader lorry driver and they last a week before they start getting holes from using ratchet straps and tensioners I find the leather is a little bit thin and they break up inbetween the fingers but to be fair they're cheap gloves and for £15 I can't complain too much

Ordered these gloves for shooting, rather than working. Not cheap, but looked good quality and were waterproof rated. Feel very comfortable and warm. Not actually used yet, but cannot foresee any problems. Delivery time was good, just a couple of days.

I've been suffering with really cold fingers for the last few years and these gloves were recommended. They are better than the Thinsulates that I was wearing before but they aren't the complete solution that I was hoping for.

Bought these for my Mum who has had them before and loves them. Neither of us could believe it when they arrived the next day but then the delivery did seem expensive at £4.95 PLUS VAT. They are excellent.
