Information

Ejendals Jalas 8201 Light ESD Anti-Static Socks

Electrostatic discharge (ESD) is a huge danger in a variety of industrial workplaces: both to personnel and products. In order to effectively combat ESD, it's vital that the right anti-static safety gear is used.

The Ejendals Jalas 8201 Light ESD Anti-Static Socks are designed to safely conduct static build-up away from workers and equipment and towards the earth. Made with antibacterial fibre that prevents odours and wicks moisture away from the skin, these socks are comfortable to wear for extended periods.

Lenzing MOdal

The Jalas 8201 are made with Lenzing Modal, a regenerated beech fibre. Like cotton, it is composed of cellulose, and therefore has similar properties. When mixed with other materials such as wool, acrylic or polyester, Lenzing Modal improves performance: garments become softer, warmer and carry away moisture and odour more effectively.

In addition, Lenzing Modal requires 10 - 20 times less water than cotton plantations. This means that these socks are manufactured far more ecologically than standard cotton socks.

Applications of the Jalas 8201 Light ESD Anti-Static Socks

Static build-up can occur on any non-conductive surface and is a particular problem in manufacturing environments. The Jalas 8201 are ideal for use within assembly areas, workshops and factories serving almost any industry.

Care Instructions for the Jalas 8201 Light ESD Anti-Static Socks

The Jalas 8201 are washable at 40°C. It is important that they are washed regularly to reduce odour and help prevent sores.
