UCi Prokut X5 Kevlar Cut Level E Heat-Resistant Gloves
The UCi Prokut X5 Kevlar Cut Level E Heat-Resistant Gloves are made from a highly specialised mixture of high-tenacity aramid fibre, stainless steel and other high performance fibres that provide outstanding cut and heat resistance despite being soft and comfortable. The Level E cut resistance means they can withstand a downward force of 22 Newtons from a sharp blade and the Level 1 Contact Heat allows you to come into contact with materials with a temperature of 100°C for up to 15 seconds.

Protections Ratings and Standards
EN 388
EN 388 is a European regulation governing the sale of gloves used for safety and protection. It determines the gloves' performance when used for protection against mechanical machinery by measuring the fabric's abrasion, cut, tear and puncture resistance.
Standard | Resistance Rating |
Abrasion Resistance | Level 1 |
Cut Resistance | N/A |
Tear Resistance | Level 4 |
Puncture Resistance | Level 1 |
ISO Cut Resistance | Level E |
EN 407
EN 407 is a European safety regulation governing the sale of gloves and garments that are resistant to any number of fire, heat and molten related hazards. Please view the table below to find out more:
Standard | Resistance Rating |
Burning Resistance | N/A |
Contact Heat Resistance | Level 1 (100°C) |
Convective Heat Resistance | N/A |
Radiant Heat Resistance | N/A |
Resistance to Small Molten Splashes | N/A |
Resistance to Large Molten Splashes | N/A |

Suitable Applications for the Prokut X5 Gloves
Contact Heat Protection
Kevlar Aramid Fibre Heat Resistant Gloves allow you to grip, hold and carry material with a temperature not exceeding 100°C for an impressive fifteen seconds. This allows foundry workers, blacksmiths and machinists to fix, adjust, handle and transfer highly volatile material without worrying about heat perforation and fabric damage.
Incredible Cut Resistance
Level E is the second highest rating available under EN 388. It means that a sharp implement would have to generate in excess of 22 newtons of force to rip through the tested fabric. This rating is the difference between a knife, blade, machine part or piece of metal tearing through your glove and your hand and it being jammed in the outer shell fabric of your glove.
Reinforced Thumb Crotch
The thumb crotch is the area of the glove that protects the webbing between your thumb and your first finger, and it's the site of many injuries resulting from handling sharp blades. The reinforced thumb crotch of the Cut Level E gloves ensures that this normally vulnerable area of your hand is provided with additional protection.
Soft Knitted Construction
Despite the extremely hardy and protective fibres used in the Kevlar aramid fibre gloves they are knitted in a way that ensures they're soft and comfortable to wear. This is particularly useful during long shifts, as the breathability of the knitted structure ensures your hands wont overheat and become sweaty.
