Polyco Nitri-Tech III Chemical Resistant Gloves are chemical resistant safety gloves that offer protection from a wide range of chemicals including strong detergents, oils and certain solvents. Ideal for use when handling chemicals and undertaking industrial cleaning applications, Polyco Nitri-Tech Gloves protect the hand, wrist and forearm from splashing and exposure to chemicals.

Available in both flock lined and unlined designs, these safety gloves feature an anti-slip pattern on the palm that enhances grip strength.

EN 374 is the European safety regulation that determines the chemical resistance of garments and gloves. The ratings seen below are determined by exposing the fabric to various amounts of each chemical to assess the level damage done to the fibres.

EN 388: 3101X

EN 388 is a European regulation governing the sale of gloves used for safety and protection. It determines the gloves' performance when used for protection against mechanical machinery by measuring the fabric's abrasion, cut, tear and puncture resistance.

The EN 388 cut resistance test uses a single sharp implement to repeatedly pressure a glove in order to determine the amount of force required to cause visible and functional damage.

Perfect protection

I first tried these gloves about 3 years ago and was able to purchase several pairs from a local market stall. At the time I was a volunteer 'washer-upper' at our local hospice. I found them comfortable to wear and extremely robust. Normal gloves only lasted one shift but Nitri-Tech ones went on for at least 3 months. Having long nails I also wore thin cotton gloves to stop my nails from puncturing the finger tips. I am hoping to soon be able to return to my volunteering work as soon as the restrictions are lifted hence the order for the protective gloves. They will again be the envy of the other 'washer-uppers'!
