Will I Retain Grip in Oily Conditions?
Oil and grease are naturally slippy to work in, which is why the MaxiDry Gloves utilise GRIPtech technology to ensure exceptional grip even in the most slippery of conditions. GRIPtech works by using a micro-cup non-slip grip finish that offers a controlled level of grip in the palm area, perfect for handling materials when the going gets slippy.
How Flexible Are the MaxiDry Palm-Coated Gloves?
The MaxiDry Palm Gloves use a nylon and Spandex blend liner that offers strong mechanical protection, combined with excellent flexibility. The material is designed to stretch with the natural movement of your hands, meaning that you can grip tools and machinery without too much worry. Even if the gloves are damp and dirty, you should retain the level of dexterity that you need.
How Comfortable Are the MaxiDry Palm-Coated Gloves?
Within the gloves is a HandCare Program that is used within all of the Maxi Gloves that we sell. This is designed to be extremely healthy to the skin, while the flexible nature of the gloves means that they are incredibly comfortable to use. This level of comfort is retained even after using the gloves all day, perfect for use on an assembly line or garage from the start of the shift to the end.
How Tight Is the Cuff on the MaxiDry Palm-Coated Gloves?
If you're working in slippery conditions it's important to prevent dirt and debris from entering your gloves. With a tight knitwrist with a length of between 70mm and 80mm depending on your size selected, it means that any outside contaminants are prevented from entering your gloves during use. This is perfect for use in the dirtiest of conditions, as your hands will remain fresh and clean.

Gloves from ATG can be washed safely in the following way:
1. Use commercial laundry soap or detergent (do NOT use dry cleaning solutions!)
2. Wash in warm to medium hot water, do not exceed 104°F (40°C)
3. Wash for 10 minutes
4. Rinse in cold water.
5. Repeat wash and rinse if soiling is especially heavy
6. Rinse in cold water
7. Tumble dry - maximum temperature 140°F (60°C)
When laundering gloves that have especially heavy dirt or grease, include several pieces of heavy canvas in the second wash cycle - friction from the canvas against the gloves helps loosen and remove deep dirt.
IMPORTANT NOTE
During the use of gloves and the laundering process glove performance can and will deteriorate. For critical areas requiring cut and heat resistance tests need to be conducted after use and laundering to ensure that the performance criteria still meet the needs of those using the glove. Safety Gloves can accept no liability once gloves have been washed.
What is EN 388?
You might have noticed that this product adheres to EN standard EN 388. EN standards ensure that the product you are buying meets the safety standards of the European Committee for Standardization (CEN), the highest standards organisation recognised by and working on behalf of the European Union. To pass any EN standard, a PPE product must undergo some of the most rigorous safety tests around.
There are many EN standards that our gloves adhere to. However, the EN standard that we’re concerned about here is EN 388. EN 388 stands for Mechanical Resistance, and informs you of your gloves' resistance to abrasion, cuts, tears and punctures.
How Do I Read the EN 388 Score?
Simply speaking, the higher the score that this product achieves, the better the product will be at resisting that hazard. Products will score between Level 0 and Level 4 for abrasion, tears and punctures, and if they weren’t tested for that hazard you will see N/A written instead of a number.
Cuts are a little different and, with the EN 388 standard rewritten in 2016, it means that gloves will either be tested to cut resistance or ISO cut resistance (sometimes called TDM cut resistance). Gloves tested to cut resistance will score between Level 0 and Level 5, and gloves tested to ISO cut resistance will achieve a score between Level A and Level F with the higher letter offering better cut protection.
