WHERE CAN I USE THE SHARPSMASTER 2 9014 GLOVES?
The Sharpsmaster Needle Stick Resistant Gloves are suitable for most industries that demand protection against needles, cuts and tears. They have light resistance to oil thanks to their wrinkle rubber palm coating, and high dexterity makes them well suited to precision based tasks. Suitable tasks include:
How Much Needle Protection do the Needle Stick Gloves Provide?
The HexArmor 9014 Gloves are lined with three layers of SuperFabric, an innovative material that is designed to prevent needles from passing through it. They have maximum EN 388 in every single category. The gloves are tested to real needles in a laboratory, ensuring protection.
Where Do the HexArmor Sharpsmaster Gloves Provide Protection?
The HexArmor Gloves enhance protection at the palm. While the back isn't protected, the front of the fingers and all of the front palm retain their needle-resistance, allowing you to handle items with ease. Take a look at the below image to see where the needles protect you.
What Is SuperFabric?
SuperFabric is multiple layers of fabric separated by a guard, that prevents needles and other sharp items from reaching the skin. SuperFabric allows the gloves to act as a barrier between your skin, and needles, thorns and more. HexArmor boast that it was SuperFabric which allowed a major company to reduce their hand injury rate to zero.
What Else Can the 9014 Gloves Protect Me From?
The 9014 gloves provide excellent protection against not just needles, but abrasion, cuts, punctures and tears. The gloves achieve an EN 388 score of 4544F, meaning that they provide among the best mechanical protection available on the market. For further information on the gloves EN 388 standards, please see the below heading.
How Much Dexterity Do the HexArmor Sharpsmaster Needle Stick Resistant Gloves Provide?
The HexArmor Needle Resistant Gloves use a cotton blend shell that fits close to the hand, ensuring outstanding dexterity and flexibility during use. The SuperFabric that protects the palms from needles is triple layered however also thin. This makes the gloves ideal for handling needles, where total dexterity in your fingers is required.
How Grippy Are the HexArmor 9014 Needle Stick Gloves?
The HexArmor 9014 Gloves are lined with a wrinkle rubber palm coating that provides a high level of grip. The coating is rough and coarse to the touch, meaning that you can handle most items with them almost sticking to the palms. This, along with their high dexterity, means that they are perfect for picking up small items such as needles.
How Comfortable Are Sharpsmaster Needle Resistant Gloves?
To ensure comfort, these gloves are lined with cotton which feels soft on your hands. The gloves also feature an elastic cuff for an excellent fit, and offer high dexterity which works with your hands rather than against them. This means that hand fatigue is reduced during use.

What is EN 388?
You might have noticed that this product adheres to EN standard EN 388. EN standards ensure that the product you are buying meets the safety standards of the European Committee for Standardization (CEN), the highest standards organisation recognised by and working on behalf of the European Union. To pass any EN standard, a PPE product must undergo some of the most rigorous safety tests around.
There are many EN standards that our gloves adhere to. However, the EN standard that we’re concerned about here is EN 388. EN 388 stands for Mechanical Resistance, and informs you of your gloves' resistance to abrasion, cuts, tears and punctures.
How Do I Read the EN 388 Score?
Simply speaking, the higher the score that this product achieves, the better the product will be at resisting that hazard. Products will score between Level 0 and Level 4 for abrasion, tears and punctures, and if they weren’t tested for that hazard you will see N/A written instead of a number.
Cuts are a little different and, with the EN 388 standard rewritten in 2016, it means that gloves will either be tested to cut resistance or ISO cut resistance (sometimes called TDM cut resistance). Gloves tested to cut resistance will score between Level 0 and Level 5, and gloves tested to ISO cut resistance will achieve a score between Level A and Level F with the higher letter offering better cut protection.
